This team works together to tackle the bulk produce we receive from Coastal Sunbelt each week. The produce is unloaded, sorted through, and bagged for distribution.
We also receive donations of fresh foods from Whole Foods via a 3rd party organization (Celestial Manna), which the team helps to bring in, sort, and pack for our guests.
When finished, the area is cleaned, trash is taken to dumpsters, and any unusable produce items are transported by a volunteer from this team to Kinder Farm park, where it is fed to animals on their farm so it is not wasted.
This is a steadily busy team and it requires some lifting, carrying, and standing for bouts of time.
